    GoCardless Direct Debits

    We are pleased to announce the next phase of our GoCardless integration.

    You can now initiate Direct Debit mandate requests directly from within iplicit, removing the need to manage mandates externally. Once a mandate is active, Direct Debits for sales invoices are automatically collected, with receipts created and allocated against the relevant transactions in real time.

    This new functionality enables:

    • Time-saving automation – no manual intervention is required for recurring invoice payments, reducing administrative workload.

    • Increased efficiency – sales invoices are reconciled faster, improving cash flow visibility and reducing delays.

    • Enhanced security – GoCardless' secure payment platform ensures that mandates and collections are processed with high standards of data protection and compliance.

    This integration offers a seamless and secure experience for managing recurring payments and collections, especially for organisations processing high volumes of transactions.

    Custom functions

    We are excited to announce the release of a new suite of custom Excel functions designed to enhance your data analysis capabilities. These functions allow you to return data based on:

    • GL amounts by period date.

    • GL amounts by parent departments, cost centres, or projects.

    • Currency amounts by chart of account groups.

    • GL amounts using dynamic account structure groups.

    • Optional support for NULL values in posting analysis.

    Linked enquiries

    • Financial year and period filters now use the Legal Entity and Financial year group context to intelligently display appropriate values for selection.

    Accessibility

    Accessibility improvements have been introduced to provide a more inclusive and efficient experience for all users.

    Enhancements include:

    • Improved screen reader support – all key navigation areas are now labelled to ensure compatibility with modern screen readers.

    • Keyboard navigation enhancements – both the main navigation menu and side menu are now fully operable via keyboard alone, supporting users who rely on assistive technologies or prefer non-mouse interaction.

    These changes are part of our ongoing commitment to making iplicit more accessible for everyone.

    Data Import & Export Enhancements

    A significant number of improvements to importing, exporting and updating data in iplicit have been made to facilitate efficient and accurate data take-on and maintenance.

    Document imports

    • A new parameter option Apply default values has been added to the Document Import pop-up. When selected, the import will populate the posting analysis using the default value defined in the Chart of account rule, if the value is not provided in the file.

    • Additional validation has been implemented to prevent the import of documents with tax values assigned to the Zero-rated tax band.

    Pivot Table Export Enhancements

    • Option added to retain totals when exporting pivots to Excel has been added.

    Customer / Supplier / Resource

    • Contact details (addresses, phone numbers, emails, URLs) now included in imports/exports.

    • Default address types (e.g. delivery, invoice) are now supported.

    • Legal Entity field now available in all import/export templates to support Data Access Control.

    Expense Products

    • Import/export support now available.

    • Templates support updating existing records.

    • Export headers aligned with import to allow seamless re-importing.

    Timesheet Product Import/Export

    • Full import/export support, including all standard fields.

    • Allows for record updates and new record creation.

    Other Enhancements

    • User group field now available in User Accounts import/export.

    • Fund import/export now supports custom fields.

    • Recurring document templates now export with the recurrence pattern in plain text.

    • Descriptions with commas no longer break CSV structure.

    • Import performance and limits improved (default 5,000 rows).

    • Details of matching (i.e. PO to PIN) now export correctly to excel when exporting document detail lines.

    • Validation performance significantly improved using intelligent caching.

    • Validation logic remains unchanged for consistent results.

    User roles and Data Access Control

    Contact Account Records

    • New read-only roles introduced to allow access to contact details without viewing bank accounts. This enhancement empowers administrators to align data visibility with internal data protection policies and individual user responsibilities, while still enabling access to essential contact information.

      • Supplier: Read Only (excluding bank accounts)

      • Customer: Read Only (excluding bank accounts)

      • Resource: Read Only (excluding bank accounts)

      • Existing roles remain unchanged and continue to include access to the Bank Account tab where appropriate.

    • Contact visibility now aligns fully with Legal Entity permissions.

    • Prevents contact access via linked documents (e.g. Sales Invoices) outside user's DAC.

    Fixed Assets

    • New Depreciation method added for 4-weekly straight-line depreciation without full depreciation in year one.

    • Account Defaults can now include Fund and Fund Type.

    • Fund and Fund Type now supported on individual assets, used in capitalisation, depreciation, and other journals.

    Dashboards

    • Default row limit set to 500,000 with fallback to 100,000 rows.

    • Users notified if limits are exceeded, with guidance provided.

    User Experience & UI

    • Real-time total displayed when amending Deferred Income & Prepayment entries.

    • Field layout improvements on GRN and Bulk Payments screens.

    • Free text “Their Ref” field added to allocation finders.

    • Improved error reporting in email event logs.

    • Warning message added when changing the financial year group on a Legal Entity.

    Workflow

    • Copying workflows no longer links revision groups, ensuring independence.

    • Update to emails sent when workflow exceptions occur.

    Chart of Accounts

    • Deposit and Schedule options now editable from bulk Amend screen.

    • Improved multi-company journal automation labelling.

    • On screen warning when setting the “Interco” checkbox on P&L accounts.

    Project Enhancements

    • GRNs now included in Committed TB.

    • Projects now shown in allocation finders.

    • Projects can no longer be assigned as their own parent.

    Performance & Stability

    • Improved performance on import authorisation, transaction troubleshooting, and large exports.

    Support items and Other Minor Fixes

    • The Contact Support button redirects users to the support portal, where they can submit a support ticket.

    • Product imports now handle missing tax/cost centre/fund.

    • Credit limit balance calculates correctly when importing a sales invoice.

    Reversals & Corrections

    • Reversal actions blocked in closed periods with clear messages.

    • Abandoned reversals no longer block un-posting or period correction.

    • Unlocking abandoned reversals is now disallowed.

    Payment Handling

    • Penny differences now respected during allocations and VAT deferrals.

    • Prepayment details preserved across PO/GRN/SO conversions and matching.

    • Negative unit prices now handled correctly in recurring invoices.

    Other Fixes

    • Multi-line rejection now processes all selected lines.

    • Attribute inheritance corrected in AP Automation matches.

    • Correct document types retained from templates.

    • Timeout issues in statement generation resolved.

    • Renamed Deferred distribution profiles to Deferred and prepayment distribution profiles.

    • The Prepayment/Deferred checkbox is only available for applicable document types, and a warning message will appear if the distribution profile is incomplete.

    • Currency symbol duplication removed from reminder letters.

    • Prepayment journals now display attributes correctly.
