    Contacts

    Contacts is the common storage for details of either Company or Person including addresses, phones, emails, URLs and extra information.

    This information is then used in Contact accounts which are then selected in Customers or Suppliers.

    Details can be created/edited in Contacts or added directly in any of the various documents where the details are required e.g. Contact accounts, Customers, Suppliers.

    How to view Contacts

    Viewing Contacts

    Select Contact / Contacts from the Setting section of the pulse menu -

    Position of the menu items within pulse will vary according to available options and dependant on personal screen resolution.

    or enter Contacts in the Quick Launch Side Menu.

    This will then show the Contacts on the system where normal customisation of Sets can be used.

    Tip

    To modify the columns displayed, select on the top right of the page, then tick/untick the information you want to hide or display.

    How to enter Contact details

    Enter Contact details
    1. Select Contacts from one of the options as shown above in Viewing Contacts.

    2. Select and open either a Company only Contact -

      or an individual Person Contact -

      Accounts

      • This shows the Contact accounts that this Contact is linked to.

      Addresses

      • Enter the type of address from the options found in Address Types - you can have many addresses but only one address per address type.

        Then add the address details - road, town, county, postcode etc.

      • Additional Addresses can be added using the icon ...

        Warning

        If you try and add another address of the same type, you will get the icon warning that this isn't possible.

        And you will be prevented from Saving the changes.

        ... and deleted using icon or locked using icon.

        Note

        Once the Contact has been Saved, clicking on the address with take you to Google maps to pinpoint the location.

      Phone numbers

      • A Contact can have many Phone numbers but only one phone number per Address Types.

      • Additional Phone numbers can be added using the icon, deleted using icon or locked using icon.

      • Once the Contact is Saved, if you have a VOIP solution, ring the phone number by clicking on it.

      Email addresses

      • A Contact can have many Email addresses but only one email address per Address Types.

      Once the Contact has been Saved, send an Email by clicking on it.

      URLs

      • A Contact can have many URLs but only one email address per URL type.

      • Once the Contact has been Saved, load the URL by clicking on it.

      • Additional URLs can be added using the icon, deleted using icon or locked using icon.

      Extras

      • Enter the type of Extra from the options found in Extra Types.

      • Extras are used to store other reference information.

      • Additional Extras can be added using the icon, deleted using icon or locked using icon.
