Currencies
Author based currencies are originated from the full list of ISO currencies and are maintained as author data and are automatically included in releases, so customers don't need to create these.
Customers can add their own Currencies, if not already included e.g. Crypto currencies.
How to view Currencies
Viewing Currencies
Select Currency & Exchange / Currencies from the Settings section of the pulse menu -

Position of the menu items within pulse will vary according to available options and dependant on personal screen resolution.
or enter Currencies in the Quick Launch Side Menu.
This will then show the Currencies on the system where normal customisation of Sets can be used.
Currency code: Unique code - 3 digits, if from the ISO 4217 currencies list, up to 5 digits, if customer created.
Currency symbol: The currency symbol.
Description: Description defining the currency.
Decimal places: No of decimal places.
Author: Ticked if an Author based entry.
Tip
To modify the columns displayed, select on the top right of the page, then tick/untick the information you want to hide or display.
How to create Currencies
Create a new Currency
Select Currencies from one of the options as shown above in Viewing a Currencies.
Select New.
Enter the following fields.
Select Create to save new currency.
A minimum of two currencies are stored against every document, namely the document currency and the Legal Entity base currency.
Note
For cash book posting lines, the bank account currency is also stored.
How to Lock Currencies
Locking a Currency
You can reduce the list of available (Open) currencies by Locking currencies.
Select Currencies from one of the options as shown above in Viewing a Currencies.
Select Currency to lock.
From the button, select Lock.
This currency will no longer appear in the Open set.
How to Unlock Currencies
Unlocking a Currency
If you cannot find the currency you want, it is possible it has been Locked.
Select Currencies from one of the options as shown above in Viewing a Currencies.
Using Sets, create a set that will show the Locked Currencies.
Select Currency to unlock.
From the button, select Unlock.
This currency will now appear in the Open set.
