The same document entry calculation rules apply.
There are 2 kinds of templates.
- Free templates
A free template does not require all details of the transaction to be filled in and can be used to create partial transactions.
The document type is the only required field to create a free template.
Note that free template cannot be automatically submitted.
- Complete templates
Complete templates require all document details to be filled in, as they are used to generate complete transactions.
Template editor features
- Document lines can optionally have an availability date range
Preview template as of date
- Calculates: due date, included lines, total as of preview date
Template usage:
Create from template: (e.g. Sale invoice finder > Create from template)
Template lines that are not in the current date range are omitted.
Pricing is filled in, if blank in template and defined on products.
Posting fields update to the current chart of account setup and take account of the provided posting defaults / fixed in template
